An article about a possible femal lead
"Revenge" star Emily VanCamp has been revealed to be in talks with the studio to join Chris Evans in the film.
"Winter," which takes place some 70 or so years after "Captain America: The First Avenger," has been searching for a female lead for a while, after it was revealed that the first film's Hayley Atwell wouldn't be returning for the sequel. Atwell played Cap's love interest in the 1940's, whereas VanCamp will play an unknown new character in the sequel, set in the present.
Scarlett Johansson is expected to reprise her role as Black Widow for the film as well. She and Evans co-starred as their Marvel alter egos in "The Avengers," and will be seen in that film's sequel in 2015.

Since ""The Winter Soldier" takes place after the events in "The Avengers" -- and some 70 years after WWII -- many of the original film's players won't be included.
It was earlier reported that Atwell would not be returning in any capacity, but Tucci revealed that the actress will in fact make a cameo, presumably in a flashback scene.
When Collider asked if Marvel had contacted Tucci about appearing in the sequel, he responded, "No, they haven’t, unfortunately. I’m really sad. I know that Hayley is going back to do a flashback scene, but I have not been asked."
Also reprising their roles from the original are Toby Jones and Sebastian Stan, who played Cap's presumed-dead pal, Bucky.
Fellow "Avengers" vets Cobie Smulders, Samuel L. Jackson and Scarlett Johansson are joining the sequel. Franchise newcomers Anthony Mackie and Frank Grillo are also co-starring Revenge star Emily VanCamp has also in an unspecified role.

Filming locations of Cap 2 and start of production
Despite rumors that the Marvel superhero sequel "Captain America: The Winter soldier" would be shooting in Europe (as the franchise's first film did), it was revealed today that it will instead shoot primarily at Raleigh Manhattan Beach Studios in Los Angeles.
Stages are reportedly already being built for the film directed by Anthony and Joe Russo ("Community") and featuring Chris Evans as the title hero first seen in the "Captain America: The First Avenger" and "The Avengers." It's been previously reported that the film will begin production in April.
"Iron Man," its sequel, and "Thor" were all partially shot at Raleigh.
"Winter Soldier" will still likely shoot several key scenes in Europe, plus some location work in Cleveland and New Mexico. The film also features the return of previous Marvel actors Sebastian Stan (as The Winter Soldier), Cobie Smulders, Toby Jones, Scarlett Johansson, and Samuel L. Jackson, plus newcomers Anthony Mackie (as Facon) and Frank Grillo.
